Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra is in talks with CSKA Moscow about a record £18million swoop for their Brazilian striker Jo. Shinawatra has given the go-ahead for the huge offer to be made for the Russian-based hitman. Jo has featured towards the top of City boss Sven Goran Eriksson's wish list for months. City have also been in talks with Ronaldinho, but the fallen Barcelona star seems an unlikely arrival.
