Some players will be banned

Foreign players watch out! Being able to speak English will be one of the main requirements for non-EU footballers to play in the Barclays Premier League starting this autumn.

Failure to do so will mean players from South America, Africa and other non-European countries will be banned from joining clubs in England’s top league, according to Guardian online.

This was introduced by the local ministry under a new points-based immigration system yesterday.

Applicants will face an English language test which will cover ‘everyday phrases and simple conversation’. This will be a part of a set of new rules set in place for non-EU skilled migrants who wants to work in Britain.
