Zenit crush Bayern to reach final

Zenit St. Petersburg made history by reaching their first European final after beating Bayern Munich four nil in the second leg of their UEFA cup semi final. The Russian champions led two nil in the first half after goals by Pavel Pogrebnyak and Konstantin Zyrianov. In the second half Victor Fayzulin powered in a header which left Oliver Kahn stranded and gave the Russian a 3 nil lead. Pogrebnyak then finished it off with his 11th goal of the UEFA Cup making him the top scorer in the tournament.
